An Ounce of Prevention is a Seattle, WA–based CPR, AED, and First Aid training provider located at 6055 35th Ave SW #301. The company teaches the American Heart Association curriculum, including HeartCode BLS blended learning, and issues AHA certification cards valid for two years. Courses meet OSHA and WISHA requirements.
Training options include on-site classes for groups of four or more across Greater Seattle, the Eastside, Tacoma, and King County; public classes at the Seattle office; and in-home or workplace sessions. Offerings include BLS certification for healthcare professionals; CPR for adults, children, and infants; First Aid; CPR/AED/First Aid in Spanish; HIV/AIDS training; bloodborne pathogens; and disaster preparedness for businesses. Individuals can register for scheduled public classes, and organizations can book private sessions or convention presentations with take-home materials.
Instruction emphasizes practical, hands-on learning with small class sizes and modern equipment, including adult and infant manikins and functional AED trainers. Most classes run from 20 minutes to 4.5 hours.
