About Amber
With over three years of experience in educational and behavioural support roles, I've developed a strong ability to create inclusive and encouraging learning environments where students feel confident asking questions and exploring new concepts. I'm currently completing my undergraduate honours thesis in an ecology lab (focused on beetles!) and I'm a Research Assistant in a clinical psychology lab.
Fun fact: I love watching sports and used to play badminton competitively. I'm always happy to chat a little about any sports you're currently watching :)

The biggest challenge with learning about science in elementary, middle, and high school is connecting what we learn in class to the outside world. My teaching approach centres around making complex concepts relatable, engaging, and easy to understand. As a visual learner myself, I also like to incorporate visual aids like diagrams, flowcharts, and videos to support different learning styles. Additionally, I tailor each session using personalized study strategies that match the student’s goals and pace. Based on the student's needs, practice questions and worksheets are included in our sessions. I believe no question is a dumb question, so please ask away!
