About Rocio

Hi, I'm Rocio. I'm a 4th year Computer Science student living in London, graduating the summer of 2022. Following a 10 week summer internship I have secured a graduate position in London's financial technology sector starting the summer of 2022.

Technology is no longer the future, it's the present and that's why 3 years ago I decided to change careers and enrol on my course.

I have enjoyed every minute.

I want to share what I have learned with others so they too can create programs from nothing and realise that computer science and programming is not out of reach for anyone.

About the lesson

Programming is a mixture of problem solving and syntax. The easy part is getting used to the syntax particular to each programming language. The fun (tricky) part is developing the problem solving skills required to trouble shoot problems with your code to get your program to do what you want.

I offer 55 minute lessons minimum, where syntax and problem solving will be taught. Algorithms and personal projects can also be discussed as desired.

I can teach from ages of 8 onwards. Language and methodology will be adjusted according to age and experience.

Perfect! To faciliate with my online learning of Python, I had signed up to have lessons with Rocio as someone to bounce questions with.
Rocio is very patient and encouraging. Rocio thinks of ways to enhance learning within the session and beyond, with exercises in the lesson and questions to take away - which I have found very helpful as continuing learning outside of the lesson matches my preference of learning.
