About Katrina
Hi! I’m Kat, a 4th-year medical student at Duke University and a passionate STEM teacher with experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I used to teach middle and high school STEM at a charter school in the Bay Area, and I’ve also tutored students for the MCAT. Additionally, I’ve taught neuroscience concepts to K–12 schools, helping make complex ideas accessible and engaging. I focus on breaking down challenging topics into clear, manageable steps. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s learning style, whether it’s hands-on problem-solving, real-world applications, or step-by-step explanations, I aim to make learning meaningful and effective. I’m patient, approachable, and dedicated to helping students succeed. My goal is not just to improve grades or test scores, but to build confidence and foster a deep understanding of STEM.
