About Rachel
I am a 21 year old student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I have played piano since the age of 7 and have had a wealth of experience performing in different venues and competition environments. I then played the clarinet for a few years before finally finding my love for the violin.
I have always been interested in playing lots of different styles of music, although I have always kept my classical training at the forefront; I feel that a strong classical grounding is great for technique and discipline and allows for more ease in being free to play anything!
I have been teaching for a couple of years and love to guide my students to where they want to be! I have also recently completed my ABRSM teaching diploma.

My name is Rachel Culpan, I am currently on the BMus classical performance course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I specialise in violin, but have also played and performed on piano to a high level.
I love all styles of music and have a very open approach to my performance and teaching. I have a very student centred approach and although there are pillars which must remain, each student will experience a unique tailored approach with me based upon their interests and individual learning style.
I offer lessons starting from 20 minutes for very young students, 30 minutes average and 45 minutes - an hour for more advanced students. It is important to change this throughout a student's growth.
