About Lola
I didn't fall in love with science and maths until year 10 when I had an amazing teacher whose enthusiasm and kindness helped me discover my talent and enjoyment for science.
I therefore aim to teach as she did, with support and excitement as I believe that, with the right help and guidance, everyone can succeed.
I have been studying at university for over 3 years now so have learnt excellent time management and how to prioritise certain tasks whilst ensuring that I have a good work life balance. Therefore, I would like to teach these skills whilst I tutor as well as the curriculum content required. This also means that I will be able to prioritise your learning even when I'm busy.
Your education is what is most important to me so I will be willing to listen to what learning techniques work for you and try to adapt my sessions so that you can get the most out of them.
I have had previous experience with GCSE and A level students, tutoring chemistry and other sciences and would look forward to teaching you everything I can in the time we have together.

I have worked with students who have a range of abilities and aim to make my lessons as engaging as possible whilst trying to impart my knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject I am teaching.
A typical lesson is 1 to 2 hours, depending on what works best for the student.
I tend to set work to be done in between sessions so that I can keep track of the student's progress and know what areas to focus on. Closer to exam season, this would be more past paper practice and at other times of the year, it would be questions I write, tailored to the student.
I completed A level chemistry, biology and maths as well as writing an EPQ.
I am therefore able to teach A level chemistry, GCSE chemistry, biology and maths as well as personal statement support for university applications and Oxbridge mock interview practice.
