About Tumelo

My name is Tumelo, and the reasons as to why I would want to teach French is because I’ve developed a love and understanding for the language. I also understand the pressure on Junior Cycle students, particularly 3rd years completing the Junior cert soon. Over the past few years, I have learned new methods that help me learn the language best and have designed fantastic notes that are distinction level. I aim to share these teaching methods, notes, quizzes, etc. to help others not only understand but to actually like learning French. I hope to make lessons enjoyable, relaxed, and encouraging while helping students improve their skills and reach their goals.

About the lesson

My teaching style would be based on the methods that have helped me learn French most effectively. I find that reading French aloud helps with pronunciation and confidence ,while writing things down and memorising songs helped with grammar and vocabulary. I would also use quizzes and short activities to make lessons more interactive and to help students practice what they have learned. I would adapt these methods depending on the student and focus on making lessons encouraging, engaging and easy to understand.The typical length of a lesson would be 1hour.I have recently completed my junior certificate and achieved a higher merit in my mock examination while also consistently achieving higher merits and distinctions in class tests. I am currently studying in 5th year and I have a strong understanding of the French language and the French junior cycle curriculum. The lessons are aimed at students studying French in 1st,2nd and 3rd year,and at people who have just started French and want to build up their understanding of the language.
