About Michael

I am an electrical and electronic engineering student at the University of Galway with a passion for learning and teaching maths. I have 1 year of experience working as a leaving cert and junior maths tutor. I acheived 625 points in the Leaving Cert including H1s in maths, applied maths, physics, chemistry and DCG and have currently acheived first class honours in every single module in my engineering degree.

Outside of private tutoring I have run 40-person peer-learning sessions for university students, received an academic excellence scholarship and attended multiple secondary school maths competitions.

About the lesson

Lessons are focused on each individual students needs and are highly focused on exam-style questions and techniques. Unlike most teachers in schools I actually focus on helping students understand the maths they are doing and not just make them rote-learn from a textbook. I got 625 points because I figured out how to study effectively and how to make things click and thats what my lessons are all about, finally making it click. Lessons are in 1-hour timeslots and highly interactive with cheat-sheets for easy studying provided.

Any ability level secondary school students are welcome.
