About Allison
I am in my 6th year as a teacher. I have experience with 5th and 6th graders in all subjects, but have more experience in reading and math. I am patient and always want the student to feel encouraged and proud of their accomplishments and learn and grow from the mistakes and challenges along the way. I love getting to know the students and their interests and try and relate to them on a personal level as well to show them I not only care about their education, but their overall well being as well.

My lesson plans will provide different methods of teaching and learning, from teacher modeling to students independence, explicit teaching, videos, games, and relating to student interests. I like to model how to do something and then gradually release the student to try independently. Continously monitor and do check ins to see what is working, what needs to be adjusted, what the student is proficient in and what we need to continue reviewing.
