About Ihtisham

My name is Ihtisham, and I have a strong interest in accounting, business, and financial software. I am currently progressing through the AAT qualification route and have successfully completed AAT Level 2 with a strong result of 81%, and I have also completed AAT Level 3 studies. Alongside my studies, I have developed practical, hands-on experience using industry-standard accounting software including Xero, Sage 50, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.

I am passionate about helping others understand accounting in a simple and practical way. I focus on building confidence in learners by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and supporting them until they fully understand each concept.

I am particularly interested in supporting beginners and early-stage learners who may find accounting or bookkeeping challenging at first. I aim to create a supportive and patient learning environment where students can learn at their own pace and develop real, job-ready skills.

My goal as a tutor is to help learners gain both knowledge and confidence in accounting and software so they can succeed in exams, studies, or workplace roles.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is practical, structured, and focused on making accounting and software skills easy to understand and apply in real situations. I break topics down step by step, starting with the basics and building up gradually so learners gain confidence before moving to more complex tasks. I also use real examples from bookkeeping, business transactions, and accounting software to make lessons more relevant and easier to remember.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Each session includes a short recap of previous learning, a clear explanation of the new topic, guided practice, and then independent exercises to check understanding. I also make sure students can ask questions throughout the lesson so nothing feels rushed or unclear.

I am an AAT Level 2 qualified student with 81% and currently have completed AAT Level 3 studies. Alongside this, I have hands-on experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage 50, QuickBooks, and Excel, which allows me to teach both theory and practical skills.

My lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate learners, typically AAT Level 1 and Level 2 students, GCSE Business students, or anyone who wants to learn bookkeeping and accounting software from scratch. I can also support adult learners who want to improve their office and finance skills for work.
