About Shreya
Hi! I'm Shreya, a second-year Biomedical Science student at Newcastle University with a lifelong passion for music. I've been playing the piano for over 13 years and hold ABRSM Grade 8 Piano, Grade 5 Music Theory, IB Higher Level Music (Grade 7) and GCSE Music Grade 9. Alongside my studies, I have performed at concerts and public events, which has helped me develop confidence both as a musician and performer.
I believe learning the piano should be enjoyable, rewarding and adapted to each individual. Whether you're learning for fun, building a new hobby or working towards ABRSM exams, I'm patient, encouraging and committed to helping every student reach their goals at their own pace. Seeing students grow in confidence and enjoy making music is the most rewarding part of teaching, and I'd love to help you begin or continue your musical journey.

I offer personalised piano lessons that are tailored to each student's age, experience and goals. Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for ABRSM exams or simply learning for enjoyment, I create lessons that are engaging, supportive and designed to help you progress with confidence.
I have been playing the piano for over 13 years and hold ABRSM Grade 8 Piano, Grade 5 Music Theory, IB Higher Level Music (Grade 7) and GCSE Music Grade 9. Alongside my qualifications, I have performed at multiple concerts and public events, giving me valuable performance experience that I enjoy sharing with my students.
A typical lesson lasts 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the student's age and preference. Lessons focus on developing strong technique, musicality, sight-reading, rhythm and confidence, while also making learning enjoyable. I encourage students to play music they love alongside learning core skills, helping them stay motivated and build a lifelong enjoyment of music.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners through to intermediate players.
