About Mayumi
My heart to journey with and uplift others is in educating young learners. My purpose is made possible by building on their lives, but specifically on the communication skills that they can use in higher learning and their chosen careers. I aim to help them develop their love for reading stories and enthusiasm in expressing themselves, which I hope would galvanize their desire to learn beyond the classroom.

I’m the type of tutor who always prioritizes my students’ feelings before our session goals. It’s because when they feel good, they perform at their best.
I only discuss for about 20% of the time. I use 80% of our session time in practicing the lesson concepts and skills that they need to master.
I teach academic subjects like English, Math, Science, etc. to elementary students. But my main expertise is teaching English / ESL.
