About Garrett

I am a dedicated ESL tutor with over 7 years of experience teaching high school and college students. I have helped more than 150 students improve their English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. My teaching approach is centered on communication, creativity, and personalized instruction. I design lessons to be interactive, practical, and engaging, using role-plays, discussions, writing exercises, and real-life examples.

I focus on helping students gain confidence in using English, overcome challenges, and reach their academic and personal goals. One of my proudest achievements was helping a student who struggled with writing to develop the skills and confidence to excel in college-level essays. I aim to provide a supportive and motivating environment where students can enjoy learning, express themselves freely, and achieve lasting progress.

About the lesson

My ESL teaching approach focuses on building confidence along with strong language skills. Many students understand English but hesitate to speak, so I create lessons that encourage active participation and clear expression.

Communication is developed through regular speaking practice, listening exercises, pronunciation drills, and vocabulary use in daily situations. Grammar is taught in a simple way and applied immediately in conversation and writing.

Flexibility helps me adapt lessons based on student comfort level and progress. Creativity makes learning enjoyable through storytelling, role play, interactive questions, and practical examples. I also teach related subjects such as Spoken English, Accent Improvement, Business Communication, Academic English, Soft Skills, and Public Speaking.

Accountability keeps students motivated through regular practice and progress checks. Integrity ensures honest guidance, respectful teaching, and realistic expectations. My goal is to help learners speak English with confidence and clarity.
