About Chris

I have been teaching English pronunciation and oral speaking skills in Hong Kong and in the UK for years. I have helped English learners with different mother tongues improve their English pronunciation, fluency and oral speaking skills. As an English learner, English pronunciation can be affected by the first language. I as an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, have been professionally trained to practise different speech sounds in different languages. I then help students tackle particular speech sounds that exist in English but not their first language.

About the lesson

I teach English pronunciation through systemic training in which the English phonology and phonetics are included. I am an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with extensive training in phonetics and linguistics. Speech and Language Therapists are also skilled in improving accent issues. I completed my thesis on how Speech and Language Therapists can support foreign language students' speech and accent. I understand the sound system of English very well. I can help you improve pronunciation accuracy and target accent issues. I can also show you the way to master different aspects of the English language.

Luisa was nice and had the lessons with her children. They all engaged and concentrated in the lessons well and asked questions when they were in doubt. They were also interested in learning about other cultures.
