About Lisa
I have spent the last 13 years teaching Spanish to High School and College students who want to improve their communication skills and academic performance. During this period, I have successfully guided around 150 students, each with different strengths and learning styles. These experiences have helped me become a flexible and patient educator.
My teaching philosophy focuses on helping students understand the language through practical use. My lessons combine grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking with conversations, reading exercises, quizzes, and real-life examples. Students are encouraged to participate actively because confidence grows through regular communication.
I believe positive reinforcement plays an important role in learning. Every achievement, whether small or large, deserves recognition. Regular revision and personalised feedback ensure students continue making steady progress while remaining motivated.
One of my most rewarding achievements has been helping learners improve their grades and develop confidence in speaking Spanish. Seeing students reach goals they once believed were difficult gives me great satisfaction.
My mission is to make Spanish learning enjoyable, effective, and practical while helping every student achieve success with confidence and enthusiasm.

I teach Spanish using a methodology that emphasises motivation, communication, creativity, and effective time management. I motivate students by creating a supportive environment, understanding their goals, and celebrating progress to help them stay confident and focused.
Communication is central to my teaching; I help students improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through practical exercises, interactive activities, and real-life scenarios. Creativity plays a key role in my lessons; I use storytelling, games, role-plays, and visual tools to make learning engaging, fun, and memorable.
Time management ensures that lessons are productive, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation practice in a balanced way. I also guide students on organising their practice time outside class to reinforce learning.
Along with Spanish, I can teach related subjects like grammar basics, pronunciation, and effective communication strategies. My goal is to make Spanish learning enjoyable, structured, and confidence-building.
