About Jean
My name is Jean Rennhack. I am a classroom teacher in New York State with 30 years experience. I am also a mother of four children two boys and two girls. I love teaching using formal techniques, learning centers, and educational games. I have a strong early literacy background and love incorporating books into learning too. I also teach time management and problem-solving skills. I know how to take a big assignment and break it down into smaller easier steps. Everyone calls me Jeannie. I would love to help you succeed in your classroom.

I begin each lesson with strong definitions, examples, and direct modeling of the objective. I model the objective once again with assistance from my students. They are called on to interact with the lesson with my assistance. Students are directed work independently following the visuals from the previous models. Students participate in sharing and explaining their frustrations and success of the task. I revisit a plan of action. Students continue with several independent tasks using a choice board involving technology, practice using pencil and paper, and paired learning strategies. Students continue the next few days with independent and small group work with the teacher to reinforce and assess that the objective is mastered. The teacher will assess formally and informally while recording the data.
