About Marie
With 12 years of experience teaching flute, I am committed to helping students build confidence and musical excellence. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals through structured lessons that are engaging, practical, and enjoyable.
My teaching philosophy is centered on communication, patience, creativity, and continuous encouragement. I believe learning should be positive and inspiring, allowing students to progress naturally while developing strong technical skills.
In addition to flute, I teach music theory, rhythm development, ear training, breath management, beginner keyboard, sight reading, performance preparation, and improvisation basics. These supporting subjects help students become confident and versatile musicians.
My strengths include helping students develop beautiful tone quality, accurate rhythm, strong breath support, confident finger movement, and expressive performance. I encourage independent practice and provide regular feedback to help students reach their full potential.
I enjoy seeing students succeed in performances, examinations, and personal musical achievements. My aim is to create a learning environment where every student feels motivated, supported, and inspired to enjoy the lifelong journey of music.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students learn the flute through structured lessons, regular practice, and positive encouragement. Communication, Accountability, and Integrity are the core values that shape every lesson and every interaction.
Students first develop breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger placement, and tone quality. After building these skills, they continue with rhythm studies, scales, note reading, articulation, dynamics, musical expression, and performance preparation. Lessons are adapted to each student's pace to ensure steady progress.
Communication helps students understand techniques clearly while building confidence to ask questions. Accountability teaches students to stay committed to regular practice and achieve realistic goals. Integrity guides my teaching through honesty, patience, fairness, and equal respect for every learner.
Besides flute, I teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, Staff Notation, Rhythm Practice, Breath Management, Instrument Care, Music Appreciation, Performance Skills, and Effective Practice Techniques. These complementary subjects strengthen musical understanding and technical ability.
My goal is to help students become skilled, expressive, and confident musicians who enjoy learning throughout their lives.
