About Karl
I'm a graduate of Syracuse University with a BS in Chemistry/Math; an MBA from Golden Gate University with a concentration in Finance and Investment Analysis and have worked in a variety of industries/companies including Chevron, Pottery Barn, JC Penney, At Home. I have built and sold several businesses over the past few years. I live in Dallas as well as San Francisco with homes in each. My work takes me around the globe traveling upwards of 200-300K miles annually. I have a love of Analytical subjects, Languages, and I thrive in problem solving. I'm definitely engaged both Right/Left Brain, having performed as a professionally trained classical dancer. I have a true appreciation for all artistic forms of expression and all types of music.

Are you stuck trying to make sense of General or Organic Chemistry concepts? Feeling stressed trying to understand Algebra or Calculus? I've helped many of my friends kids gain an understanding of these subjects, showing them a few real world applications and how to approach these subjects in a fun, relaxed way. My teaching/tutoring style is centered around connecting these subjects to more real world examples, showing how the basic principles can be understood while working with you on problem solving. I find that by making the concepts more relevant to things we do everyday, it becomes easier to understand and apply these principles while you study these subjects most often avoided by students. I'm available to tutor both middle and high school students as well as students in first and second year college courses.
