About Patti
Accounting is often taught as dry memorization, yet it functions best as a logical story about how money moves through a business. I find that once students grasp double-entry bookkeeping, the rest of the puzzle pieces begin to fit together quite naturally.
Over 13 years of experience, I have guided 210 students through the intricacies of GAAP, trial balances, and cost accounting. My NYU Stern MBA provides a foundation for explaining why accrual versus cash basis reporting matters so much in the boardroom. I break down closing entries and managerial accounting to make them feel less like chores and more like essential tools for decision making.
