About Steven

Hi, I'm Steven. I'm an accounting professional and I hold an Associate of Science in Computerized Accounting as well as an Associate of Science Accounting Support.

Every day I use Excel to manage billing, payments and reporting for high-volume clients, so I know the skills that matter in a real job, not just in a textbook. I also design budgeting, invoicing and bookkeeping spreadsheets for small businesses, freelancers and families.

I know Excel can feel overwhelming at first. I'm patient, I explain things in plain language, and I never make anyone feel bad for asking a basic question. My goal is for you to leave each lesson able to do something you couldn't do before, on your own.

Whether you're opening Excel for the first time, trying to get organized at work, or want to manage your own budget or small business, I'd be glad to help you get there.

About the lesson

My lessons are hands-on: you control the spreadsheet on your own computer while I guide you over screen share, explain why each step works, and correct mistakes as they happen. You learn by doing, not by watching me click.

- Small business owners and freelancers who want to track sales, expenses and invoices
- Anyone who needs Excel for work, budgeting or managing personal finances
- Students who want practical skills for an accounting or business career

What we can cover:
- Basics: navigation, entering data, formatting, sorting and filtering
- Formulas and functions: SUM, IF, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP and percentages
- Cell references, so your formulas copy correctly every time
- Budgets, expense trackers, invoices and simple bookkeeping
- Pivot tables, charts and simple dashboards
- Understanding and fixing spreadsheets someone else built

A typical lesson:
1. A quick check on your goals and what you already know
2. A short explanation of a new skill
3. Practice on a real example, ideally your own spreadsheet or task
4. A recap and a short practice exercise for next time

What sets me apart: I'm an accounting professional with a degree in Computerized Accounting, and I use Excel every day to handle billing, payments and reporting for high-volume clients. I also design budgeting and bookkeeping spreadsheets for small businesses and families. That means my lessons focus on the practical skills people actually use at work, explained in plain language and at your pace.
