About Laiba

My name is Laiba and I am a high school graduate, currently enrolled in the Schulich School of business, working towards my BBA degree. I graduated with honours and a 93% average. I worked as a tutor at the Academy of English and Maths, I even teach as a substitute teacher at a private Islamic school, Al Manarat.

About the lesson

My teaching method varies from child to child (depending on how weak/strong they are in a subject or if they are shy) and I take a very hands-on approach and try to relate the subject to the student so that they gain a deeper understanding. A typical class would first include an explanation of the topic and then practise questions we do together. I believe communication is crucial, it allows the student to overcome any confusion. I also like to create a bond with my student which allows them to become comfortable with me and my teaching methods. Being a student myself I know that some concepts are hard to grasp so spending time and effort on them really helps.
