About Patric
My name is Patric Thomas Depré, I'm 33 years old and come from the small town of Zweibrücken on the border with France. I've been playing the guitar and ukulele for more than 19 years. Thanks to a large circle of musical friends, I was able to gain experience in various bands at an early age and spent most of my youth in rehearsal rooms. As a teenager, I had private lessons from various teachers, which allowed me to learn a lot about different styles. Since I never wanted to do anything other than music, I started studying instrumental soloists specializing in jazz at the private vocational school “Musikerschmiede” in Zweibrücken in 2009 and successfully completed it in 2012. Since then I have been working as a professional musician and private music teacher for more than 9 years.

Instrumental lessons for children I offer lessons with acoustic guitar or ukulele for children from the age of six. Since children rarely have their own taste in music at this age, they learn from the beginning how to handle and play with classical notes and easy chords. Over time, the interest in music will continue to grow, so that your child can choose songs for themselves, which we then work on and practice together. Instrumental lessons for young people and adults, beginners, advanced or re-entry! Rock, pop, classical or alternative. At any age it is possible to learn to play acoustic guitar, electric guitar or ukulele or to start again. If you approach the whole thing with patience and interest, you will definitely have the desired success. It doesn't matter whether you are 12 or 60 years old. Basically, I design the lessons in such a way that learning success comes from working out and playing songs. Here I orient myself to your taste in music and bands or musicians that you like, because fun should be in the foreground. Most beginners already know from the beginning that they want to be able to play like "Guitarist XY" or which direction they want to take later. That is why we work for you an individual concept that should help you achieve the desired success as quickly as possible. You won't learn anything from me that you don't want to learn. For example, it is not necessary to learn harmony or notation in order to play the guitar or ukulele. However, there is a clear advantage if you know how individual things work in theory. So if you are not interested in playing according to notes, then of course this is not required of me. You can also get along very well with the easy-to-learn tablature or with playing by ear. Some of the best guitarists in the world may or may not read sheet music. Course content (excerpts) Harmony, ear training, rhythm, playing with music and tablature, tutoring for students, song accompaniment, solo play and improvisation, fingerpicking, training as a “campfire guitarist” and much more. Music theory and harmony Have you often asked yourself why this arrangement of your fingers on the fingerboard is a B minor chord, for example? Always wanted to know why different chords go together and others don't? Then my theory courses are just right for you! I offer you theoretical courses and lessons to improve your understanding of music and your instrument. In order to acquire the basic knowledge of harmony, it is not absolutely necessary to be able to read notes. A lot can be deduced from the fingerboard of your instrument. In this way I have had great success so far in bringing the basics of music theory closer to my students and making them understandable.
