About Mitchell
I have a B.S. in economics from Duke University and am pursuing a J.D. at NYU Law in the fall.
Throughout high school and college, I have tutored students at school and in my community as a private entrepreneur and participant in Duke's Peer Tutoring program. As both a private and Peer Tutor, I have gained invaluable experience teaching a wide range of subjects and standardized tests including ACT test prep, collegiate-level economics, AP U.S. History, SAT II Math and New York State Regents Biology, Algebra and Earth Science. Furthermore, I have personally excelled at standardized testing and academics. For example, I scored in the 96th percentile on the LSAT, a five on nine different AP exams, above 750 on three different SAT II subjects tests (including a perfect 800 on Math II) and a 34 composite score on the ACT. Despite my extracurricular involvement and rigorous coursework, I continue to maintain an almost perfect GPA of 3.99 at a prestigious university. I graduated with the honors of summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

My clients have continued to seek out my services because I am adept at yielding results. Using an engaging, personalized and hands-on approach, I encourage students to appreciate what they are learning. Another key in retaining clients is my ability to adapt my tutoring style to each student’s unique needs and sustain strong relationships with parents. To this I day, I continue to improve my communication, creativity, administrative and motivational skills with regard to tutoring. My tutoring philosophy of guiding students to solve problems themselves has remained consistent since high school. I avoid simply telling them the answers and instead encourage to inquire.
