Methodology

Duration : 2 Hours - Price : $40.00 - Place : FremontHello! My name is Emma, and I am a trained actor in the San Francisco Bay Area with a B.A. in Musical Theatre. In this 2-Hour training session, I will be focusing on teaching beginning acting, touching on basic skills, such as projection, confidence, and characterization.

We will begin with various physical and vocal warm ups, which will provide comfort to the actor in their environment. Next, I will provide a series of monologues from which each student picks one monologue to focus on and will help them analyze and brainstorm their character's traits and their character's background, which allows for a greater understanding of the different ways of portraying each character. Then, I will coach the students in using tactics to meet their objective through natural and organic acting.

Some methods I use involve helping students access prior memories or emotions and assisting students in bringing truthfulness to their acting. As a teacher, I am supportive, patient, smiley, humorous, and passionate about theatre.

**The students will have the opportunity to take home their monologues for future auditions, if desired.**
