About Seth

My experience rests well within the military, I am needed to be patient, professional, and most importantly able to put forth all my effort at any given moment, despite any circumstances given. I have needed to teach and pass on skills, information, and directions to soldiers quickly and effectively to accomplish a variety of different tasks. Most notably a number of people I have taught have gone on to earn their EIB (Expert Infantry Badge), which requires the individual to not only be able to pass high-demand, physical evaluations but be able to execute over two hundred tasks and drills ranging from first aid to the calculation of position, with only a set amount of resources as specified by Task-Conditions Standards. Over half the skills are taught to us in a single week and we are expected the second week to conduct all tasks with only one deficiency allotted per day over the period.

My experience albeit is limited, however, I have proven multiple times to be able to effectively teach in a stressful environment, with limited resources multiple times, and still achieve desired results.

About the lesson

Lessons will be constructed on the basis of individuals, however, they will usually follow one of two structured systems. The first system is the EDGE method typically applied to more introductory lessons as it is a four-step method introducing the subject, demonstrating the purpose of said topic, and then guiding and enabling its usage. The second method is used for intermediate to higher-level subjects, it's a simple Problem-Solution method meant to encourage the usage of prior knowledge to attempt an understanding of the new subject. This method is preferred due to its capability of sparking a more interactive and challenging prospect with the student, leading to a deeper understanding and a general sense of accomplishment upon completion.

Bear in mind these are methods I have used when teaching other soldiers specific skills, methods of approach, and general field knowledge. This is to say I am relatively new to tutoring itself, but not to teaching skills and subjects. If there is something that you need to be taught or explained I am able to research, compile, and project a lesson usually in a week's time as long as I have material to work with.

I prefer to keep all lessons K-12 as they are subjects that I am either very familiar with or can pick back up within a couple of days. If you want a more narrow spectrum of what I specialize in teaching, it would be in Mathematics, History, and Music (more specifically singing).
