About Ryann
As an active pre-med biology and chemistry major, I am passionate about helping students succeed while making science feel less overwhelming and more approachable. My academic background, combined with my experience as a chemistry lab assistant, herbarium assistant, and certified EMT, has given me strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and patient way.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual goals, learning style, and pace. Whether a student needs help preparing for exams, understanding difficult concepts, improving grades, or building study habits, I strive to make each session engaging, organized, and productive.
Professionalism, patience, and reliability are very important to me. I work hard to ensure students feel comfortable, respected, and motivated throughout the learning process. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them gain confidence in their abilities and enjoy learning.

As a tutor, I focus on creating a supportive and personalized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in science. As an active pre-med biology and chemistry major with experience as both a chemistry lab assistant and a herbarium assistant, I understand that every student learns differently. I adapt my teaching style to fit each student’s needs, whether they learn best through visuals, practice problems, discussions, or hands-on examples.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying areas the student struggles with most. From there, I explain concepts step-by-step using simple language and real-life examples before working through practice questions together. I also help students develop study techniques, note-taking skills, and test preparation strategies so they can succeed independently outside of tutoring sessions.
What sets me apart is my combination of academic knowledge and real-world healthcare experience through my EMT certification and biomedical background. I aim to make difficult science concepts easier to understand while helping students gain confidence in their abilities. My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and introductory college students taking biology, chemistry, health science, anatomy, or related courses.
