About Alston
I recently graduated from University of Michigan, U.S. with a degree in Bachelor of Science, triple majoring in Actuarial Science, Statistics and Data Science. I am currently a full time risk analyst in a multinational company and would like provide math related tutoring as a side hustle. Before being a risk analyst, I had a 3 months teaching experience in a primary school, focusing on Maths and English. I am able to conduct my tutoring session in any language(i.e. English, Mandarin, Malay).

Depending on the course syllabus, I would start the lesson by accessing the level of understanding of the student in that course with a short quiz/test. Then, based on the outcome, I'd personalize and structure his/her learning plan in alignment with the course syllabus. This is to make sure the student can learn at his/her own pace and master the topics accordingly. At the end of each session, I'd also ask student for feedback to ensure the learning is carried out in a stress-free, conducive environment.
