About Roger
Because I started with a very strong foundation in traditional photography and lighting I was able to transition to digital with ease. Photoshop is set up based on traditional darkroom tools, such as, dodge, burn and contrast manipulation. If you know the basics teaching Photoshop can be very rewarding to those that are learning it for the first time.
As a public high school teacher my students were required to enter local and state level contests. Some of my students won awards ranging from honorable mention to first place in contests from 300 to over 1500 entries.

I am a seasoned professional educator and professional photographer. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in applied photography. I have over twelve years of experience teaching students from age 12 to 60+. I completely believe in hands on lessons for the best learning environment. I have taught continuing education at a university as well as in a public high school. I love the classroom and to share my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for the art of photography and photoshop.
