About Ortensio

What drives me to teach English is the desire to make everyone understand how important it is. Initially, after a few years of intense study, constantly marked by exams, I felt forced, more or less like it happens at school. Only later, and as I grew up, did I really understand how not everyone has the same luck as me, as most students are forced to study English without even knowing why. In addition to opening the doors of the mind, it is above all able to qualify a future worker, who can approach practically all the cultures of the world without any difficulty. Even today, English is an absolutely underestimated subject, and especially in schools where it is not considered enough, it leaves students with a very significant gap, which limits them to travel, find work and expand, in all fields. In summary, what I want to do is detach the idea of English from the idea that the school instills, in order to make it fun but, at the same time, challenging.

About the lesson

Through my teaching I want to make people understand how important English is, trying to make the student passionate about the subject, differently from how it happens at school. A classic lesson would surely be based on conversation about different topics, a crucial part of the knowledge of the language, as well as a thorough study of grammar and adding sources from which to obtain new information. Being of a certainly lower age group than the other teachers, the relationships with the student can be consolidated at best, guaranteeing quality lessons, but also fun. They are not based on the classic system which does not consider the student's opinion, but my lessons will be based on the student's needs and their own shortcomings. The lessons are aimed at everyone, regardless of age, or the school they are attending.
