A verbal habit that's quite persistent

"Uh" fills the gap, as they gather their words
It's a nervous tic, a habit hard to break
"Uh" becomes a crutch, a verbal escape
They struggle to express themselves with ease
"Uh" becomes a barrier, a stumbling tease
In conversations, it's a familiar sound
"Uh" echoes through, like a repetitive beat all around
They try to articulate their thoughts with care
But "uh" keeps interrupting, beyond repair
It's not a lack of intelligence or insight
Just a quirk of speech, a verbal fright
They know what they mean, but "uh" gets in the way
A linguistic hurdle, day by day
With practice and patience, they'll find their flow
And "uh" will fade away, don't you know?
