About Sanjuanita

Teaching one to one is the specific area where I found my natural aptitude. While the traditional classroom was never my original plan, I excel at breaking complex mechanics into almost insultingly small components before building them back up. My approach is grounded in my degree from the University of Miami Frost School of Music.

I focus on pedaling technique, sight transposition, and rigorous grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity students. My lessons incorporate jazz improvisation, sight reading, dynamics, expression, plus essential memorization techniques and scales. Whether we are tackling tricky arpeggios or stylistic nuances, I am here to help you get the job done right.

Working together feels like a series of deliberate steps where each topic pays off in the next one. We prepare for specific milestones because I find that focused pressure yields the best results for my students.

We track your progress with a report shared with parents every month to keep the 10.0 scale of objectives clear. My background in popular music informs how I structure our time to ensure maximum efficiency. I break technical barriers down so they feel manageable rather than overwhelming.

You can expect a hands-on session that values honesty over fluff. I look forward to seeing your growth as a multi-instrumentalist.
