About Ojo Patrick
My programming journey began in 2004, and that early curiosity has grown into almost two decades of practical experience across science, data, and software development. I studied Geophysics at bachelor’s level, Exploration Geophysics at master’s level, and later completed a master’s degree in Geoinformatics, where I applied Python to GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis, and scientific problem-solving.
I am currently a third-year PhD researcher at Monash, working on smart building analytics, thermal comfort modeling, and energy optimization using advanced programming, data analytics, and optimization tools. Alongside my research, I have built several applications and web apps across full-stack technologies, including frontend, backend, databases, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL systems.
I teach Python because I enjoy helping students move from confusion to confidence, and from basic syntax to building real, useful applications.

I teach Python Programming in a practical, beginner-friendly, and project-based way. My lessons start from core programming concepts such as variables, loops, functions, data structures, and problem-solving, then progress into data analytics, automation, and Python-powered application development.
As an Advanced Analytics PhD researcher and university teaching assistant, I explain complex ideas clearly and guide students step by step with real examples. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, whether you are a complete beginner, university student, researcher, or professional hoping to build practical Python skills.
My typical lessons are interactive and hands-on, with coding exercises, mini-projects, debugging support, and clear explanations that help students understand not only how to write code, but how to think like a programmer.
