About Orla

Teaching flute has been my passion for 11 years. During this time, I have guided school students, college students, and working professionals with different musical interests and goals. My classroom is friendly, supportive, and focused on helping students enjoy learning while building strong musical skills.

My teaching style focuses on communication, creativity, motivation, and flexibility. I adapt my lessons according to each student's learning style and encourage steady improvement through practical exercises and positive reinforcement.

Apart from flute, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, breathing techniques, beginner keyboard, performance preparation, sight reading, and basic music composition. These additional subjects help students understand music more completely and improve their confidence.

I focus on strong fundamentals such as proper breathing, posture, finger movement, rhythm accuracy, and expressive playing. I also encourage students to develop disciplined practice habits that support long-term success. My mission is to inspire every student to enjoy music while achieving their personal learning goals.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is to make flute lessons enjoyable, organized, and suitable for every learner. I use Communication, Accountability, and Integrity to build a learning environment where students feel encouraged to improve and express themselves through music.

Students begin by learning breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, and tone development. As they progress, they move on to rhythm, scales, notation reading, articulation, dynamics, musical phrasing, and performance preparation. Practical exercises and enjoyable melodies help students strengthen their skills while staying motivated.

Communication helps me understand each student's learning style and explain concepts in a simple way. Accountability develops regular practice habits, responsibility, and steady progress toward musical goals. Integrity ensures that I teach honestly, patiently, and respectfully while giving every student equal attention.

Besides flute, I teach Music Theory, Staff Notation, Ear Training, Sight Reading, Rhythm Practice, Breath Management, Instrument Care, Music Appreciation, Performance Techniques, and Practice Planning. These additional subjects improve overall musicianship and confidence.

My objective is to help students become confident flute players who continue learning with enthusiasm and dedication.
