About Collins
With 17+ years of dedicated teaching experience, I am a flute tutor committed to making music learning simple and enjoyable. I have taught around 150 students across different age groups and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. My experience has helped me understand how to support each student in their unique musical journey.
My teaching style focuses on communication, patience, and adaptability. I make sure students clearly understand each concept before moving forward. I customize lessons based on individual goals, whether it is learning for hobby, exams, or performance. I focus strongly on basics like posture, breathing, fingering, and tone, as these are essential for long-term improvement.
I also bring creativity into my classes by including exercises, simple songs, and improvisation techniques. This keeps students engaged and motivated. I believe learning music should be enjoyable, not stressful, so I maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere during lessons.
My unique skill lies in simplifying difficult techniques and helping students gain confidence step by step. I also support students with music theory and listening skills, which improves their overall musical understanding.
My aim is to help students grow not only as flute players but also as confident and expressive musicians.

My teaching methodology for flute is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe that every student can learn and enjoy flute when lessons are structured and encouraging. I begin by understanding each student’s level, interests, and goals so I can create personalized lessons.
I motivate students by setting achievable goals and celebrating their progress, which helps them stay focused and confident. Communication is key in my teaching, and I explain breathing techniques, finger placement, posture, and tone production in a clear and simple way.
With integrity, I guide students step by step, providing honest feedback and supporting steady improvement. Creativity allows me to make lessons fun and engaging through songs, exercises, and interactive activities. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and listening skills to support a well-rounded musical education.
