About Zené
I am a 22-year old who found my calling to teach. I live in a small town in the Eastern Free State, and teach at a Christian school. I started out teaching grade 3 learners then quickly moved up to teaching grade 4-9, mostly any subject. I prefer teaching Math and Science, because I have always had a passion for steps and facts. I also like to teach English, because I love reading and the meaning and use behind words. I graduated last year and got my TEFL/NQF Level 5 Diploma.

What makes me unique as a teacher is, my methodology is to let the student first understand the theory behind the work, go on to an example where we apply the theories and then let them try on their own. I will look out and point out where they make mistakes or apply the wrong steps. The best way to learn is from our mistakes. I am proficient to teach in Afrikaans and English. A typical lesson from me, will be where the students provides me with their work from the day or week, and then go through the theories to make sure they understand before going to applying the work. I will help the student to see where they make mistakes and guide them through the work correctly, also teaching them fun ways to remember the work. My lessons are aimed at grade 5-9 Math students that need help outside their classroom.
