About Sophie

I am an enthusiastic piano instructor with 17 years of teaching experience. My students include school children, college students, and working professionals who want to learn piano for personal enjoyment, academic development, or performance opportunities.

My teaching approach focuses on creating a balance between technical skill development and musical creativity. I adapt lessons according to each student's learning style, ensuring they feel comfortable and motivated throughout the process.

My classes cover piano fundamentals, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, sight reading, music theory, ear training, improvisation, and performance techniques. I provide regular feedback and encouragement to help students stay focused on their goals.

Besides piano, I teach keyboard skills and music theory, helping students develop a deeper understanding of music. I encourage independent learning and creative exploration while maintaining a structured learning path.

My goal is to inspire students to become confident musicians who enjoy learning and performing music. I take pride in helping students achieve meaningful progress while making every lesson enjoyable and productive.

About the lesson

I believe learning piano should be exciting, rewarding, and suitable for every student's individual needs. My teaching methodology combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and practical learning to make each lesson both educational and enjoyable.

Students first learn the fundamentals, including proper posture, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. Building these skills creates confidence and prepares students for advanced topics such as scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, and expressive playing.

Every lesson includes demonstrations, practical exercises, and discussions that help students understand the purpose behind each technique. Instead of simply memorizing songs, students learn how music works and how they can apply their knowledge to new pieces.

Creativity is encouraged through learning different musical styles and participating in improvisation and accompaniment exercises. These activities improve confidence, listening skills, and musical imagination.

Besides piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals, rhythm training, ear training, music theory, performance preparation, sight reading, and music appreciation. These subjects help students become complete musicians.

My mission is to provide supportive and inspiring lessons where students enjoy learning, improve consistently, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
