About Emily
I am a Violin tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 800 students. My passion is helping learners become confident musicians while developing technical mastery, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with complete beginners, intermediate learners, advanced performers, examination candidates, orchestra musicians, and competition participants. This experience enables me to adapt lessons effectively to different learning styles and musical goals.
I believe music education should inspire creativity while building discipline, perseverance, confidence, and personal growth. Through supportive mentoring and structured instruction, I help students overcome challenges and achieve continuous improvement.
Many learners have successfully prepared for examinations, performances, competitions, orchestral opportunities, and advanced musical studies through my guidance. Their achievements continue to inspire my dedication to music education.
My goal is to help every student become a skilled and expressive violinist while enjoying a rewarding musical journey and developing skills that last a lifetime.

My Violin lessons are designed to help students develop technical excellence, artistic expression, musical understanding, and performance confidence through a structured and progressive learning approach. I teach posture, bow control, finger placement, intonation, tone production, rhythm development, sight reading, ear training, music theory, and performance preparation.
Students begin by mastering essential foundations including posture, bowing techniques, rhythmic accuracy, listening skills, and intonation control. These skills provide the framework required for advanced musical development and confident performance.
As students advance, lessons expand into vibrato, shifting, advanced bowing patterns, expressive phrasing, interpretation, recital preparation, ensemble performance, and advanced repertoire studies. Technical exercises and musical pieces are carefully balanced to support complete artistic growth.
I encourage students to understand music as both a technical discipline and an artistic form of communication. Lessons focus on helping learners express emotion, creativity, and individuality through performance while maintaining strong technical standards.
Personalized practice plans, performance coaching, regular assessments, and detailed feedback help students improve consistently while achieving meaningful musical progress.
