About Willy

Hi, I'm Willy Wilde. The voice is the most adventurous instrument of all — it can whisper or soar, swing or ache, wander into almost any kind of music ever made. I've spent years exploring what a voice can become, and there's nothing I love more than setting off on that adventure alongside a curious student.

What keeps me teaching is the thrill of discovery — watching someone try a style they'd never dared and light up because they've found a way of singing that feels wholly theirs. Handing people that sense of exploration is the part of teaching I treasure most.

Here's what I believe: curiosity is the best fuel there is for learning. The world of song is far bigger and more wonderful than most people realize, and I'm certain there's a place in it made just for your voice — you only have to go looking. So even if you don't yet know what kind of singer you want to be, that's perfect; discovering it is half the joy, and I'd love to help you do exactly that.

Whatever's brought you here — a voice you long to sing like, a wide-open curiosity, or just a sense that there's a whole world of music waiting inside you — come and explore it with me. It's a wonderful adventure, and I'd be delighted to be your guide.

About the lesson

I like to start by discovering what draws you to singing — the voices that move you, and the sounds you've always dreamed of making. And from the first lesson I'll share the wonderful truth about your voice: it can travel almost anywhere, into any style, color, and feeling, and a great deal of the joy is exploring together to find where it comes most alive. There are no wrong answers here, only new places to venture.

We'll build the healthy foundations, of course, because they're what set your voice free — easy breathing, releasing tension, and growing your range and control. But rather than drilling in a vacuum, I'll invite you to explore widely: soulful ballads, playful pop, jazz, folk, and whatever else sparks your interest, so you build real technique while discovering the full range of what your voice can do.

I'll always be honest and encouraging, and I'll give you one clear thing to work on at a time. And I'll keep the spirit curious and warm throughout, because a cracked note or an experiment that doesn't quite land isn't a failure — it's part of the adventure, and often just where you'll discover something surprising about your own sound.

Most of all, this is about the joy of finding your voice by exploring, so we'll keep venturing and celebrate every discovery, at whatever pace suits you. Wherever you're starting from, my hope is to be your guide on a real vocal adventure — one where you build genuine skill and uncover a voice, and a whole world of music, you didn't know was in you.
