About Rodrigo
I'm a practicing Aerospace Engineer with an undergraduate degree in Engineering and I've spent my career applying the exact math and physics I tutor.
I got into tutoring because I remember exactly what it felt like to get stuck with a problem or concept in math or physics class and not know how to get around it. My goal as a tutor is simple: build your confidence, close the gaps in your knowledge that are holding you back, and help you practice new skills that'll help you tackle new concepts and problems in the real world.
Whether you're catching up, staying ahead, or just trying to make sense of a subject, I'm here to help make that happen.

I teach a variety of subjects in Math, Physics and Chemistry from middle school to high school.
I focus on building intuition first before procedure. Many students learn to follow steps without understanding why those steps work, which means they freeze the moment a problem looks unfamiliar.
A typical lesson consists of:
1. Quick check-in (5 min): review previous homework/practice and clear up any questions.
2. Concept building (15–20 min): I introduce or revisit the topic with guided examples, building from what the student already knows.
3. Guided practice (15–20 min): student solves problems with me coaching. Here, I'll gradually step back as they gain confidence.
4. Independent practice + wrap-up (10 min): a couple of problems solved solo, plus a short recap.
Who this is for?
Students from middle school through high school (Grades 6-12) in math and physics.
Especially well-suited for students who:
- Are capable but losing confidence due to gaps from earlier grades (very common heading into the Grade 9 de-streamed curriculum).
- Want to strengthen problem-solving and test-taking strategy ahead of unit tests, exams, or EQAO.
- Are curious about real-world applications of what they're studying, especially students eyeing engineering, science, or STEM programs at university.
