About Tom
I'm Tom, a recent graduate with a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Sheffield and A* in Physics and A in Maths at A-level.
Having benefited from tutoring myself, I know first-hand how valuable the right support can be. I aim to bring this to other students and help them achieve the best possible grade.

I focus on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation. Each lesson would consist of working through the underlying concept using worked examples then moving onto exam style questions, ensuring the theory is directly tied to how it is tested. I adapt my explanations to how each individual learns, drawing from my engineering background to show how the concepts are applied in the real world which can often make the ideas click faster.
Sessions can run between 1 and 2 hours, giving enough time to properly work through a topic and then consolidate with practice questions.
I am an Aerospace Engineering graduate from the University of Sheffield with an A* in Physics and A in Maths at A-Level. I've also worked in an engineering role at Nissan where presenting technical information clearly to varied audiences was a key part of the role, a skill directly related to how I teach.
I tutor students at GCSE and A-level in Maths and Physics.
