About Arlo
I have degrees in physics and aerospace engineering, and am currently completing my engineering PhD, so I have a wealth of knowledge in maths, science, and engineering.
Having worked within the university system, with students ranging from 1st year to post graduate, I have know the level of work required throughout a STEM degree. I can draw on this knowledge to make sure your maths, physics and engineering knowledge is where it needs to be.
I am passionate about science, engineering and technology, and know that some very capable people may shy away from these industries because they think they don't posses the rigorous maths and physics skills they think they need. I am here to do away with this ideology, and aim to make STEM degrees more accessible to people with all backgrounds.

With over 5 years' experience tutoring university level physics, mechanical and aerospace engineering classes, I have learned how to teach effectively in both large class and one-on-one settings. To me, teaching is about more than just memorising formulas. My teaching style involves starting with the fundamental concepts, and breaking down complex ideas into small, easy to understand concepts. This step-by-step approach helps you to understand ideas at varying levels, and also helps me as a tutor to determine which concepts you require the most help with, allowing for a tailored and effective solution that helps you get the most out of your sessions.
I have extensive engineering experience in the aerospace field, and can draw on this to help show some of the applications of the concepts you are learning, and hopefully inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.
I teach in one hour sessions, online or face to face in Brisbane, and can help with year 10-12 level mathematics and physics, or any mechanical engineering-related subjects.
