About Isabelle
I study Aerospace Engineering at CU Boulder, and I have always had a keen interest in math. I am thinking about a double major in applied Mathematics as well. If any high school students are interested in CU Boulder, I am happy to give my input about the school and the college application process.
I love to build rockets!! I am currently on the CU rocketry team, where I help design, build, and launch high powered rockets.

I am easy going and understanding (everybody struggles to understand math), so I like to break concepts into smaller ideas to make them easier to understand. I do not like using memorization to learn, rather I use conceptual thinking for better comprehension of the subject. I am able to tutor up to Calculus 3 (I am in that class right now). This includes Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre- Calculus, and Calculus I and II.
A typical lesson plan includes:
-Outlining key concepts to learn
- Understanding formulas and how they are needed in the concept of the problem
-Basic walkthrough problem
- Practice Problems (guided).
-Practice Problems (independent)
-Review of what topics were covered that day
- Take home problems if needed
*I am not an SAT or ACT tutor, I can help with practice problems similar to the math questions on the SAT or ACT, but I do not have comprehensive knowledge of the exam.
