I am an engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona going into my 4th year. I have been tutoring for about 4 years now. I have helped people increase their tests/overall grades in subjects like Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus 1.

Typically, the students will have practice problems to work on. I ask him/her which they are having difficulty on and begin there. After going through a few sections of what they're learning, I circle back around to the beginning and see if they've understood it, or just memorized how to do similar problems. I have them work on the problem themselves to see if they've truly learned the topic.
