About Steven
I always make sure the student knows that he/she should ask questions anytime. Mathematics can be overwhelming and students can get lost easily or feel intimidated by a teacher in class they don't understand. They want a tutor they can feel comfortable with. I tell the student I have a PhD, that I have been teaching for many years and I make sure that the student knows he/she must provide me with the material for me to study before the lesson. Its important the student knows that missing a class at the last moment without a valid reason (such as a genuine health issue) will be charged for the lesson. The lesson is 1 hour but the student knows I will often write up notes (at no cost) for them.

-I have been teaching privately and in the classroom for over 20 years at 6 colleges in the United States.
-When I teach a student privately from home, I makes sure that the student provides me at least 48 hours before my lesson the work she/he wants me to explain so I can prepare in great detail.
-The lessons are 1 hour. The student comes with the questions they do not understand. I always revise first for the first 10 minutes what the material is, making sure the student feels comfortable. I make sure that the student knows should ask questions any time.
