About 𝒯𝒶𝓇𝒶𝒿𝒾
I’m a dedicated student who’s using my skills in math to earn some extra money by helping others. I understand how frustrating algebra, geometry, and other math topics can be, so I break everything down in a simple, easy way. I’m patient, reliable, and focused on helping students actually understand the work, not just memorize it. If you need someone close to your age who explains math clearly and keeps things comfortable, I’m here to help.

1. Algebra Basics
Algebra is about working with numbers, variables, and equations.
Key ideas:
• Variable: a letter that represents a number.
Example: x + 5 = 12
• Solve the equation: find the value of the variable.
Example:
x + 5 = 12
Subtract 5 from both sides → x = 7
Important Algebra Rules
• Whatever you do to one side of an equation, do to the other.
• Combine like terms:
3x + 2x = 5x
• Distribute:
2(3 + x) = 6 + 2x
⸻
2. Geometry Basics
Geometry is about shapes, angles, and measurements.
Common Shapes & Formulas
• Triangle:
Area = ½ × base × height
• Rectangle:
Area = length × width
• Circle:
Area = πr²
Circumference = 2πr
Angle Types
• Acute = less than 90°
• Right = 90°
• Obtuse = 90°–180°
• Straight = 180°
Pythagorean Theorem (right triangles only):
a² + b² = c²
(used to find the missing side)
⸻
3. Fractions & Decimals
These skills are used in both algebra and geometry.
Convert fraction → decimal
Divide numerator by denominator.
Example: 1/4 = 0.25
Adding fractions
Get the same denominator first.
Example:
1/3 + 1/6 = 2/6 + 1/6 = 3/6 = 1/2
⸻
4. Word Problems (How to Think)
1. Identify what the problem is asking.
2. Write an equation.
3. Solve step-by-step.
4. Check your answer.
Example:
A number increased by 9 equals 20.
x + 9 = 20 → x = 11
⸻
5. Tips for Success
• Show your steps.
• Keep equations balanced.
• Draw diagrams for geometry.
• Don’t rush—math is about understanding, not guessing.
