About Dianne
Hello! I’m Dianne, a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering graduate with a strong background in Mathematics, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and technical subjects.
While I was studying, I also had experience conducting tutoring sessions for students in our local community. These experiences allowed me to work with learners with different levels of understanding, learning styles, and areas of difficulty. I learned that effective tutoring is not simply about knowing the correct answer—it is about knowing how to explain a concept in a way that the student can easily understand.
Aside from my academic background and tutoring experience, I also serve as a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson in our barangay. Through this role, I regularly interact with young people from different educational, social, and personal backgrounds. This experience has strengthened my communication, leadership, patience, and interpersonal skills. It has also taught me how to listen, understand different perspectives, and communicate ideas clearly to different types of learners.
I bring these experiences into my tutoring sessions by creating a friendly, respectful, and encouraging learning environment. I understand that some students may need more time, additional examples, or a different explanation before a concept becomes clear—and I am more than willing to adjust my approach.
My goal is to help Elementary and High School students not only improve their performance in Mathematics, but also develop confidence in solving problems independently. Whether you need help understanding a difficult lesson, completing homework, preparing for an examination, or strengthening your fundamental Math skills, I will guide you step-by-step at a pace that works for you.
I believe that Mathematics becomes much easier when students are given the right explanation, enough practice, and a tutor who is patient enough to understand how they learn.

As a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering graduate, I have developed strong skills in mathematics, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. As a tutor, I aim to make Mathematics easier to understand by breaking down complex concepts into simple, clear, and manageable steps.
My Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching approach is student-centered and personalized. I first identify the student's current level, learning difficulties, and areas that need improvement. I then adjust my teaching style according to the student's pace and preferred way of learning. I use simple explanations, step-by-step solutions, examples, practice exercises, and guided problem-solving to help students understand not only how to get the answer, but also why the solution works.
I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes without feeling embarrassed. I believe that building confidence is an important part of learning Mathematics.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous topics or prerequisite concepts. I then introduce the new lesson using simple explanations and relatable examples. After that, I demonstrate sample problems step-by-step before allowing the student to solve similar problems with my guidance.
As the lesson progresses, I gradually give the student more independence while checking their understanding along the way. We end with a short recap, additional practice questions when needed, and identification of topics that should be reviewed in the next session.
What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart is my combination of an engineering background and a patient, approachable teaching style. My Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering degree required extensive application of mathematics, analytical reasoning, and technical problem-solving. I can therefore help students see Mathematics not simply as a subject involving formulas, but as a skill that can be understood through logic and practice.
I am patient with students who need concepts explained multiple times or in different ways. My goal is not just to help students complete their homework or pass an examination, but to help them become more confident and independent problem-solvers.
Who My Lessons Are For
I offer Mathematics tutoring for Elementary and High School students, including students who need help with basic mathematical concepts, homework, assignments, review sessions, examination preparation, and challenging lessons.
I can assist students with topics appropriate to their level, including arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, basic algebra, geometry, equations, word problems, and other Elementary to High School Mathematics topics.
Whether a student is struggling with the fundamentals or simply wants additional practice and guidance, I provide a supportive learning environment where Mathematics can be approached step-by-step and at a comfortable pace.
