About Oliver
I want to bring a friendly approach to learning so I want the students to be completely comfortable with me as a teacher. A bit about me: I play badminton and volleyball at my university in Durham where I study Engineering, I play piano for fun and I enjoy doing art in my spare time.
I've achieved 3 gold awards in the annual UKMT maths challenge in my time at secondary school and 6th form and have attended the UKMT Maths Feast competition once before, getting A*s in both my Maths and Physics A-level. I achieved a 9 in Fine Art and an A in product design so I'm confident I can provide a fun visual understanding where necessary.

My lessons are aimed at those taking or learning content for their Maths and Physics GCSEs.
My approach involves getting to know the learners goals and focusing most my teaching efforts towards areas that need the most work.
In these areas I will provide the student with background theory, where necessary, and guide them through relevant questions, always leaving time open for the student to ask me their own questions.
Lessons will usually be an hour, asking students to be ready with a pen and paper.
