About Alex

I've been learning piano for 17 years, and won the Bedford School 2019 Piano prize as well as getting an ABRSM Grade 8 with distinction. I've studied with Concert Pianist Marina Nadiradze as well as taking lessons at RNCM with Ben Powell and took classes with Mozarteum Tutor Claudius Tanski at the Chethams summer school. I've also participated in a masterclass with Guildhall Tutor Carole Presland. In my piano journey I've learned that the key to progressing and achieving your personal goals is to focus on them, and to always work towards the dream that made you begin playing piano in the first place and no matter what your goals are as a pianist I believe I can help you achieve them! I am also a highly skilled composer of concert and video game music with 8 years of experience and if you have any personal favourite songs or pieces I would love to create a piano cover tailored to your level and help you learn it!

About the lesson

I believe that every piano student has a personal goal, and no matter if it's performing in concerts, winning competitions or just learning your favourite song this dream should be treasured and cultivated. As a teacher I would therefore focus on this goal while also teaching healthy and reliable practice habits and improving my students' technique allowing them to be passionate and skilled pianists. I have a BMus with Honours from the Royal Northern College of Music as well as an ABRSM Grade 8 certificate and I teach all ages from beginners to advanced pianists. I have experience teaching students privately and allowing them to pass exams as well as learning their favourite music. I teach online as well as in London

Alex tutored my son for his Grade 4 piano test, he was excellent at explaining the finer points and nuance that other teachers struggled with. Alex is always patient and polite.
