About Alex
My name is Alex White, and I remember gripping the steering wheel so hard my knuckles turned white. My first instructor was impatient, and I almost gave up. That memory is why I teach the way I do. For the last 5 years, I've specialized in anxious beginners, adults learning later in life, and students who failed their test due to nerves rather than skill. I'm fully certified and insured, with additional training in teaching high-anxiety drivers. My students trust me because I'm patient, calm, and clear—I explain everything in plain language before I expect you to do it. I've helped people in their 40s and 50s finally get licensed after years of depending on others, and terrified teenagers go from silent panic to relaxed confidence. I've also helped nervous test-takers pass on their next attempt—not by memorizing a route, but by feeling genuinely ready. With me, you won't just pass your test. Hi, I'm Alex White. I've taught driving for 5 years, and I specialize in students who feel anxious before they even turn the key. I know that learning to drive can feel overwhelming—especially with pressure from parents, busy roads, or a previous failed test. That's why my lessons are calm, predictable, and built step-by-step. We start in quiet residential areas where you can get comfortable with the car's controls, steering, braking, and turning without distractions. As your confidence grows, we add stop signs, intersections, lane changes, parallel parking, and highway driving—one skill at a time. I teach defensive driving as a habit: scanning ahead, anticipating other drivers, maintaining safe following distance, and making decisions that keep you safe. My car has dual controls for added security, but I rarely need them. I don't yell, I don't rush, and I don't make you feel foolish for asking questions. You'll know exactly what we're working on—and why.
