About Ritvik
I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin Madison studying computer science and data science. Throughout high school and college I have taken the following math classes: AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Mathematics. I have received all 5s on my math AP exams and held a high standard in all those classes. My strong background in Math is also combined with a long history of tutoring. I have been tutoring in subjects such as Algebra 1, Geometry, Calculus, and programming in Java for almost 4 years now. Over that time, I have tutored many people from different backgrounds and have learned how to rework my teaching to best match the student's learning style

My teaching method is based on what the student is looking for. If a student is looking specifically for homework help, I would go through the entire homework with the student and explain all and any issues that may confuse the student. To help the student fully comprehend the topic I would also provide practice problems for the student to do on their own time or with me if they prefer. For a student looking more for enrichment, based on the subject, I will first go over the basic concepts like any math class would, then provide homework that will be checked and graded. Following each unit, there will be a unit exam to help assess the students understanding of the subject and provide me with a list of things to work on with the student. A typical session will last around 30 minutes to an hour based on the topic being taught that day.
